(Executive business coaching) Ways to Keep Prices of Products Down in Your Business
No commentsBy Kelly Church
In the food industry today, there are many things to consider when starting your own business. There are always the large items like where you will locate your business, what types of products you will sell, and what types of employees you will hire. Although these are all very important questions, there are smaller ones that sometimes get overlooked. For example, one of the biggest things you need to ask is how you can get customers to return to your restaurant. One of the best ways to get people to return to your business is to have reasonable prices. There are several things you need to do to make sure you keep your prices down without losing any money. Three of the easiest ways to keep prices down are to choose menu items that are naturally cheap, charge high enough prices to make money for your company but do not gouge, and buy items that are easily purchased cheaply in large quantities.
One of the first and most obvious things to keep your prices down in the food business is to offer menu items that do not cost a lot in general. For instance, you may choose to, rather than selling food like rib eye steaks and lobster, instead sell hotdogs and hamburgers. These are the types of foods that people who are looking to stick to a budget will purchase on a regular basis. You may find that selling this type of food in the right location can make you as much or more money than selling more expensive items like fine dining foods.
Another thing you can choose to do in order to keep prices low is not to gouge your customers. Everyone that starts a business does so in order to make money. And it is understandable that you want to make as much in profits as you can for your business. However, charging outrageous prices for foods that are not worth what you are charging is a good way to chase off a customer. You may get the people to pay the higher prices when you first open because the business is new in town. But if the price is much more than the item is worth, people will quickly pick up on it, and it could cost you business, and more importantly it could cost you the entire business.
Finally, another thing that can help keep customers coming back by keeping your prices low is to buy your supplies in large quantities at the cheapest prices possible. For example, if you are given a choice of buying napkins for fifty cents per packet, and another at fifteen cents per packet, depending on the quality, you want to choose the cheaper of the two. Quality is very important, but if the quality of the two products is the same, choosing the cheapest is the smartest idea. Choosing cheaper items keep your overall costs down.
Sticking to these simple rules can make it much easier to keep customers coming back to your restaurant for the cheap but quality foods. By making sure you choose inexpensive items, do not gouge customers, and buying supplies in large quantities for cheap prices, you can entice your customers to return and become regulars in your establishment.

Is Teamwork Important to YOUR Work At Home Business?
By Lady Di
Teamwork could easily be the most important part of a legitimate work at home business. Teamwork is crucial in being able to use and market an effective work at home business on the internet. There are just to many bits and pieces required to be effective on the internet.
Teamwork has become a very over used and misunderstood word in todays business world. All companies preach teamwork in their business practices but only the ones that follow through seem to be successful. A legitimate and successful business requires work and contributions from all members of the business.
How does this relate to your work at home business? You need to work with other people and programs in order to succeed on the internet. There is just so much information and methods available on the internet you need to use all the resources available to you.
By using trial and error and working as a team, you can put all the pieces together to create a legitimate and successful work at home business. Work with, listen to, experiment with the information you gather, use trial and error to discover what works for your work at home business.
It took my two Golden Retrievers to see the light. We were playing at the lake one day and they were retrieving a stick. I threw the stick in a difficult area and the next thing I knew they were working as a team to retrieve it. This made me stop and think that maybe this was what I was lacking in my work at home business.
I began working with other people I had met on the internet, listening to and trying to use information I gathered from my efforts and not being afraid to try new methods. This has helped to increase my list, gain higher ratings for my website, increase sales and meet a lot of wonderful people.
Teamwork, in the true sense of the word, is how to have a true legitimate work at home business and be successful on the internet.

Attract Return Customers in the Food Service Industry
By Kelly Church
When starting a business in the food industry, there are many things to consider. Some of the most important things that need to be done to get established including choosing the type of product you will sell and getting the proper licensing required to do business in your area. While these are all very important things that must be done to get started in the food service industry, sometimes things are overlooked when thinking about issues that arise when the business is up and running. For example, one of the things that a restaurant owner should ask him or herself is how to get customers to return to your establishment once they have visited it. Three of the most important things include keeping product prices reasonable, having great customer service, and having a great product.
Keeping product prices reasonable is one of the most crucial things that can be done to entice a customer to come back to your business. A customer will not come back if he or she feels like the restaurant is trying to rip them off. Ways to keep prices of the products low include buying in large quantities to keep your costs low, not overcharging, and choosing cheap menu items. Doing all you can to offer special deals can be a great way to get repeat customers as well. Best bang for your buck is almost a sure way to keep your customers coming back for more.
Another way to keep people returning to your eating establishment is to have great customer service. One of the best things you can do that will help you achieve great customer service is to hire great employees. Quality employees possess several attributes including honesty, trustworthiness, friendliness, and great attitude. With employees that possess these qualities, it should be very easy to instill in them a desire to satisfy your customers. Finding employees that care about the way the customers are treated is difficult, but when you find one, it is well worth the effort.
Finally another key to getting customers to come back to eat at your restaurant is having a great product. You really cant beat when the customer comes back because you cook the best burger he or she has ever tasted. Having great quality ingredients will make the final product turn out great too. Just as news about a bad restaurant spreads like wildfire among potential customers, news about great food also spreads like wildfire. Making sure your food is delicious and consistent will make it where you can count on return customers.
Having one out of three of these is not enough to stand out in the restaurant business. It is very rare these days, however, for many restaurants to possess and display all of these qualities. If you can master the three important keys of keeping reasonable prices, having great customer service, and having a great product, you can stand out as the best among those around you that are mediocre in the industry. Being an exceptional restaurant is the best way to make lasting loyal customers.
